The River is a great place to go just to relax, or to have a great time.  Every summer their is a great deal of tourism, but when you are on the river you are pretty much, just with the company that you are with already.  When you are on the river their are stops along the way which can be rather interesting my favorite being Smith Falls, which just happens to the tallest water fall along the river.  This is a great spot to get off of the river and enjoy the scenery, eat lunch, or just for a bathroom break.

    While you are on the river you have a few options, the main being where you stay, and what you do while you are on the river.  If you are a fast paced person and don't want to spend a whole lot of time on the river I would recommend canoeing, but if you just want to lie back and relax you can rent tubes from quite a few different places along the river.
