- October 28, 2001 - Youth Leadership Appreciation Event (well, alright,
this actually happened at St. Mary's Social Hall in Spencer) -
This year's Archdiocesan Youth Events were held on the parish and
deanery levels. Here in the Rural Northwest Deanery, we planned a Youth
Leadership Appreciation Event. This included a Mass, an appreciation evening
"luncheon" followed by a concert with noted song writer and singer,
Fr. David Hemann (see his web site) from Sioux City, Iowa. The concert was open to the
public. The Mass and luncheon were by invitation.
We had 95 participants.
- October 5-7, 2001 - Quest - A Christian Encounter for Freshmen
and Sophomores

- August 25, 2001 - Confirmation Retreat - for junior high students.
Team: 2 Priest, 7 Lay

- July 31, 2001 - Fun in the Son - Reflection, Friends, & Service
- A time for 7th to 9th grade students to gather for some fun, a
little service, and instruction. This is designed for a Confirmation project,
and this year we will be discussing the Sacraments of Initiation.
It will include an Outdoor Mass at our Grotto, volleyball, and swimming.
It is an all day event. - by 1 priest, 8 adult leaders, 3 youth leaders - 30
